Producing a Doc Series Workshop
EURODOC and Series Mania Institute are joining forces for a new edition of ‘Producing a Docuseries Workshop’: a training workshop dedicated to French-speaking producers with a documentary series project in development.
At a time when documentary series have experienced significant growth since the emergence of platforms and the rise in popularity of short formats, Series Mania Institute and Eurodoc have designed a training course tailored to the specific skills required to produce this type of series. The aim of the program is to consolidate the expertise of producers by providing them with the tools they need to develop and co-produce their projects internationally.

The aim of the program is to consolidate the expertise of producers by providing them with the tools they need to develop and co-produce their projects internationally.
The workshop is aimed for producers with a documentary series project. Projects may be at different stages (writing, development or pre-production). As the workshop is held mainly in French, it is reserved for French-speaking professionals.
The workshop is also open to professionals without projects, only in the case of industry professionals working for an organisation or institution offering support for documentary films (programme managers, support funds, etc.).
Series Mania Institute, the first school dedicated to series, is continuing to grow, and in 2024 the school will be strengthening European cooperation in the audiovisual field by launching STREAM, a network of 10 international schools. The school is innovating and accelerating its development with new courses based on its 4 pillars: initial training, continuing education, integration programmes and workshops, with strong partnerships such as Sciences Po Lille and EURODOC.
In 2024, 90% of participants graded their satisfaction to 5/5 and 10% to 4/5. 100% of participants affirm that the workshop will have a positive impact on their career and work development as a producer. 80% of participants showed interest in applying to the EURODOC annual training or another short program following this workshop.
